FAQs

Yes! At NGS, we rely on chainsaws to do every part of our work. We will train you on every aspect of the safe operation of a chainsaw.

Yes! Our crews work full time (40 hours per week) in all weather conditions.

Definitely not! While we start most days at our work yard in North Vancouver, our work sites vary daily. To name a few, our past and current projects include trimming along local neighbourhood roadways, boat or helicopter access only tree removal sites, slashing brush in the Whistler/Pemberton area, and removals requiring the use of a crane.

Yes! After the standard 3 months probationary period, all NGS crew have the opportunity to participate in extended benefits coverage.

Yes! Opportunities to gain many certifications pertaining to arboriculture are available to crew members. Apprenticeship offerings through ITA BC, first-aid, TCP certification, and air brakes endorsements are just a few of the possible training options.

No experience necessary! You’ll learn through on-the-job training to safely perform all aspects of the job. Experienced journeymen will teach, supervise and mentor you.                                                

 *A valid BC Drivers License and reliable personal vehicle is required as the work yard is not convenient to any public transportation.
